Education and Professional Development
Dr Karen speaks Portuguese and earned her dental degree from FUNEC, Santa Fé do Sul, São Paulo, Brazil, in 2010. She registered in Australia in 2021 and is a qualified general dentist.
Her qualifications extend beyond general dentistry. Dr Karen is trained in anti-wrinkle treatments and facial therapeutic injectables, having completed a course on “Therapeutic Uses of Botulinum Toxin” with the Australian Dental Association Queensland in September 2023. She also has a passion for providing front fillings and performing root canals.

In Her Spare Time
When she’s not at the practice, Dr Karen enjoys dancing, particularly Brazilian samba. She loves spending time at the beach with family and friends and playing footvolley. Her compassionate nature extends beyond her professional life, as she has also performed volunteer work in impoverished communities in Brazil, giving back to those in need.
